Randal Lee Garrett

BRISTOL -- Randal Lee Garrett, 56, of Bristol passed away Tuesday (Aug. 18, 2009) as a result of an accidental house fire. Randy was born in South Bend on June 17, 1953, to William and Donna Garrett. On June 20, 1987, he married Agnes Elaine Carter, who also passed away. Randy is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Scott) Babcock of Bristol; grandson, Zachary Babcock of Bristol and his sister, Vicki Shepard of Middlebury, Ind. Randy graduated from Penn High School and loved to work on cars, trucks and tractors. He also loved to travel to the Mississippi River in Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 26) in Grace Lutheran Church, 831 West Marion Street, Elkhart, with visitation held from 1 to 4 p.m. The Rev. Tim Diemer and the Rev. Agnes Elaine Garrett

Agnes Elaine Garrett, 55, of Bristol, passed away as a result of an accidental house fire on Tuesday (Aug. 18, 2009). Elaine was born on Aug. 12, 1954, in Bremen to William and Rosa M. (Langley) Carter. On June 20, 1987, she married Randal L. Garrett, who also passed away. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Scott) Babcock of Bristol; grandson, Zachary Babcock of Bristol; mother, Rosa Carter of Plymouth; seven sisters, Linda (Kirby) Miller of Nappanee, Carolyn "Liz" (Mark) O'diorne of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Rosemary (Jeff) Schmucker of Warsaw, Ind., Lisa Skinner of Phoenix, Nancy (Ronnie) Linville, of Nappanee, Ruth (Barry) Curtis of South Bend, and Rebecca (Tony) Stiles of Plymouth; and four brothers, Nathan Charles (Ginger) Carter of Elkhart, William Paul (Lynda) Carter of Atoka, Ind., John Carter of Columbia City, Ind., and Sam (Keri) Carter of Avilla, Ind.
