Alvin K. Beachy

Alvin K. Beachy 76 of 4508 TR 365 Millersburg died Monday, January 30, 2017 in Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg following an extended illness. He was born December 31, 1940 in Holmes County to the late Ben B.F. and Katie M. (Raber) Beachy. He is retired from Bunker Hill Cheese and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Sara B. Weaver whom he married February 20, 1964; his brother John (Mary) Beachy of Millersburg, 2 sisters Bena Miller of Millersburg and Malinda Yoder of Dundee, his caregivers Eli (Elsie) Yoder and Betty Yoder all of the home and their children Robert (Emily) Yoder and Matthew (Emily) Yoder all of Millersburg, his step sister Mary (Henry) Mast of Kentucky, step brothers Alvin (Katie) Hershberger of Dundee and Andrew (Fannie) Hershberger of Millersburg, step brother-in-law Henry Miller of Holmesville and step sister-in-law Martha Hershberger of Millersburg. Albert's Story Albert E. Fisher, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, in Springhill Village Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family. Albert was born in Terre Haute, on May 19, 1933, to Herman Fisher and Helen Wilson Fisher. He was a member of Plumbers and Steam Fitters 157 for over 60 years. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, a member of the Marine Corp League of Terre Haute and a member of American Legion Post 346 for over 60 years. He was a member of the Exchange Club, a bowler as well as an avid sports enthusiast. He also enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors and was an avid bird watcher with his wife, Sandy. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia Fisher, who passed away in 1996. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Lee Fisher; and a sister, Virginia Bracken.
