Dairel Lee Seabolt Jr
Dairel Lee Seabolt Jr., age 63 of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital. Dairel was born Oct. 3, 1953 in Welch, WV to the late Dairel Lee Sr. and Linnette (Odom) Seabolt. Following his high school graduation, Dairel attended the University of Notre Dame. On Dec. 5, 1971, he married Roma Hill in Elkhart. They would have celebrated their 45th anniversary this year.
Surviving is his wife Roma Seabolt of Elkhart and their children; Dawn (Henry) Franks of Goshen, Donald (Beth) Seabolt of Syracuse, Sandy (Marty) Simmons of Goshen, and Debby Seabolt of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his siblings Deborah (Johnnie) Hollin of Corbin, KY, William (Trish) Seabolt and Raymond (Pam) Seabolt, both of Elkhart, and John (Linda) Seabolt of Swanton, OH. Dairel was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charlie Seabolt, his sister Betty Sharp and a granddaughter Serenity Seabolt.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm Friday, November 25, 2016 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Elkhart with funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm.
Dairel was the owner of Clear Concepts Inc. in Elkhart for over 20 years before his retirement in 2014. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Sports and was a 4 handicap golfer. In his younger years, Dairel enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing softball. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and travelling throughout the US to visit family and friends. In his memory, donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
